SYVEA Membership

The Santa Ynez Valley Equestrian Association is a non-profit organization based in the Santa Ynez Valley of California's golden Central Coast. Our facility is open to all member riders and it is our mission to create access and opportunity for people and their horses to come together to learn, ride, and show safely.
Our organization hosts a variety of equestrian events each year at the Santa Ynez Valley Equestrian Center. We sponsor Hunter-Jumper, Dressage, Western, and Gymkhana horse shows, as well as riding clinics, equestrian exhibitions and club fundraisers. We encourage participation in these events not only from our members, but also the entire community. The Equestrian Center is also home to a Therapeutic Riding Academy, providing freedom and companionship for physically & mentally challenged children across the Valley since 1998.
Members of the Santa Ynez Valley Equestrian Association are welcome to use the Equestrian Center year round and benefit from schooling with one of the Center's established trainers. SYVEA Members are also eligible to receive special benefits, and participate in the Year End Awards Programs and attend the Annual Year End Awards Banquet and Dance.

We need to get a release on file before you ride at the center.

Center Rules:

*You must be a current member to ride at the equestrian center (except at show)

* No one may use the facility, including arenas, as a place of business

* Close All Gates

* Do not tie horses to fences, barns or trees

* Dogs must be on a leash at all times

* No loose horses (except for in round pen)

* Do not leave horses unattended in round pen

* 5 MPH Speed Limit on SYVEA property

* Do not clean out horse trailers on SYVEA property.

Membership:

Membership in the Santa Ynez Valley Equestrian Association includes many special benefits as well as eligibility to compete for Year End Awards & Prizes in any, or all, of our show circuits. Competitors must be members before they compete in order for points to count, so don't wait any longer, join in on the fun today! (Both Application and Liability Release/Hold Harmless Agreement must be completed in full for membership consideration).
