SYVEA Gymkhana Rules

YEAR END HIGH POINTS: Exhibitor must be a current member of the SYVEA Inc. to compete for daily High Point and Year-End High Point Awards. Points accrued prior to SYVEA membership will not count towards Year-End High Point. Exhibitors may join SYVEA at the show but application must be completed and dues paid before participation in any classes for any points earned to count towards the Year End

RIDERS must attend 3 out of 5 show to receive year end awards.

Rules for the 2009 season have not been updated  yet. 
Look for some new changes.

 

PLEASE PRE-ENTER: You may pay for classes the day of the show.
If you are unable to attend all entry fees will be refunded.
No refunds for scratching an class the day of the show.

Classes must be entered before show starts at 8:30am. 
No class may be added to after the class is in progress.

Points will be awarded first to sixth as follows: 7-5-4-3-2-1

Points for year end awards will got to horse/rider combo. 

DRESS CODE: All contestants shall be fully attired in a collared
shirt, long pants, and boots. No waffle soles.

TACK: Any Appropriate, safe, neat and humane Western and/or English equipment may be used.

TIME PENALTIES: knocking down or dislodging obstacles will result in a two second penalty for each obstacle (barrel, pole, etc.)

AGE GROUP: Age as of January 1, 2009 shall be used for entire series.

LEADLINE riders may proceed no faster than a trot or they will be disqualified. Riders must be lead off the ground. When leading an animal across the timing line, the assistant must be at or behind the shoulder of the animal to prevent any timer malfunctions.

•We reserve the right to combine or cancel groups and/or classes.
•Unnecessary schooling will be penalized.
•Returned checks will incur a $25 return check charge.
•Minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, or by an adult with written parental permission to seek emergency medical care.
•Safety and fun are the issues, not spending ability.

• Horses, Ponies, and Mules are welcome.
